Original Painting of 'Blushing Bride Posy in Yellow Spotted Vase'
This botanical still life artwork was inspired by native flowers from the local florist and one of my favourite vases from South Australian glass artist Emma Young.
"I love pairing unusual Australian native flowers with vases to style my still life paintings. It had been a few days since I had the posy and the flowers were starting to dry (I seem to struggle with keeping them looking fresh!). Their shapes and textures were changing and I tried to capture the quirky vibe of the scene."
