Description

‘Balcony Garden’ still life painting was inspired by the word “LIGHTING”. This gouache artwork was created as part of a daily painting challenge in September 2020. Vickie painted scenes from life in response to daily painting prompts.

“The moment I walked through my living room this morning I knew that this was the scene I wanted to paint! I loved the reflections on my balcony pots and the shadows cast by the wrought iron balustrade. It was a challenge as the shadows started changing rapidly and there was a lot of glare coming off the balcony scene.”

Materials

Painted using archival Windsor & Newton & Art Spectrum gouache paints on 300gsm Fabriano watercolour paper.

Format

Paper size is A5 (14.8 x 21cm) in portrait format.
